Heather began her career in 2007 as a full-time Police Officer with the La Habra Police Department. Heather made a lateral move to the Fountain Valley Police Department in 2014. She has worked a variety of assignments, including Patrol, School Resource Officer, Explorer Post Advisor, Bicycle Patrol, Detective, and a Physical Training Instructor at the Regional Criminal Justice Training Center at Golden West College.
Heather was promoted to Police Sergeant in 2020 and worked in Patrol for approximately 4 years. She later moved from Patrol to serve as the supervising sergeant in the Traffic Bureau in 2024.
Heather was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 2025 and is currently assigned to the Patrol Division. As a Patrol Watch Commander, she is responsible for Patrol Operations, including the Corporal Program and the Drone Program. She also oversees the Traffic Bureau.
Heather has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Long Beach.
