Robert graduated from the Golden West College Police Academy in 2005 and has been with the Fountain Valley Police Department since then. Over the years, he has served in a variety of assignments, including Patrol, Special Investigations Unit Detective, and Task Force Agent.
In 2017, Robert was promoted to Corporal and then to Sergeant in 2018. As a Sergeant, he oversaw patrol operations, the K9 Unit, and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. During this time, he also managed the Special Investigations Unit.
In 2025, he was promoted to Lieutenant and is currently assigned to the Patrol Division, serving as the SWAT Commander.
Robert holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from California State University, Fullerton, and is a graduate of the Sherman Leadership Block Supervisory Leadership Institute.
