[ARCHIVED] Fountain Valley Police Department Press Release


On September 6, 2015 at approximately 1555 hours, the Fountain Valley Police Department responded to a call of a possible armed male subject who had attempted to steal a vehicle at the Complete Auto Spa and Detail Center, located at 16650 Harbor Blvd. Officers arrived on scene and located the suspect. Officers confronted the male suspect. When confronted by Officers he ignored commands and a foot pursuit ensued. After being cornered the subject turned towards Officers and took a fighting stance. One Officer attempted a TASER deployment unsuccessfully. After a struggle with the suspect they were able to place him into custody. During the struggle, two Officers sustained minor injuries. Frankie Laguna, 9/17/63, of Huntington Beach, was arrested for unlawful taking of a vehicle, obstructing or delaying a peace officer, obstructing or delaying a peace officer causing injury, and trespassing. Incident # 15-38123.
