[ARCHIVED] Fountain Valley Police Department Press Release


On August 29, at approximately 0943 hours, officers responded to a call of a possible burglary at Orange County Firearms in the 17150 block of Newhope Street in Fountain Valley. Store employees arrived on scene and discovered a broken window leading to inside the business. An unknown number of firearms were stolen from inside the store. The suspects left the location without being detected.

On September 2, at approximately 0455 hours, officers responded to an audible burglary alarm at Rifle Gear Firearms in the 18000 block of Mount Shay Street in Fountain Valley. When officers arrived they discovered a broken window leading to inside the business. Prior to arrival of the officers, an unknown number of suspects entered Rifle Gear and took firearms from inside the store.

No one was injured during these incidents, and an investigation is underway to determine a possible connection between the two burglaries.
These burglaries are not related to the burglary arrest announced by the Department under Incident #15-37525.
