Based on Mosquito trapping counts collected on August 23, OCMVCD staff has high mosquito counts and West Nile virus positive mosquito samples at Mile Square Park.
The District’s current treatment criteria states that adult mosquito control is continued when 50 or more female mosquitoes (Culex quinquefasciatus) are identified in a mosquito trap per trap night or when one mosquito sample tests positive for disease.
OCMVCD is scheduled to conduct adult mosquito control on the dates and times below:
- Tuesday, August 28 and Wednesday, August 29 - Approximate Time: 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Mile Square Park (County side - southeast corner on Warner/Euclid by the OC Parks maintenance yard, up to 20 acres from the street)
