[ARCHIVED] FV Crossings Community Workshop to be held on July 15

FV Crossing

The third Community Workshop for the Fountain Valley Crossings Specific Plan will be held in City Council Chambers, 10200 Slater Avenue, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2015. This event is the third in a series of workshops. All residents and stakeholders are encouraged to attend.

The third Community Workshop will review trends and concepts presented to date. It will also present preliminary traffic analysis results and transportation management strategies and identify potential streetscape improvements. Finally, the workshop will also introduce a preliminary approach to how the project's concepts and strategies can be implemented through new land use and development regulations.

The first workshop held in February discussed existing conditions in the project area, feedback received on the online survey and stakeholder meetings, and current trends in the market and economy. The second workshop held in May provided an in-depth discussion of how the plan can best respond to market trends, provided an introduction to potential development types, and introduced an overview of a preliminary land use strategy.

The Fountain Valley Crossings Specific Plan is to provide a new vision for the area with revised land use designations, zoning standards, a capital improvement program, and policies designed to incentivize and attract new development. This Specific Plan Area is bound by Talbert Avenue on the north, Ellis Avenue on the south, Ward Street on the west and the Santa Ana River on the east.

If you are unable to attend the workshop in person, you can catch the workshop live on Time Warner Channel 3, Verizon Channel 21 and AT&T Channel 99.
