[ARCHIVED] LOADED FIREARM AND NARCOTICS ARREST

On May 18, 2017, at approximately 2:45 a.m., a Fountain Valley Police Officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle in the area of Azalea Avenue and Everest Circle. The driver, who was identified as Thomas Nguyen (27) from Fountain Valley, was found to have narcotics and drug paraphernalia on his person. Further investigation, with the assistance of the Fountain Valley Police K9 Officer and his partner “Figo”, led Officers to discover a loaded handgun concealed under the center console of Nguyen’s vehicle.

Nguyen was arrested for possession of a firearm with controlled substances, carrying a loaded firearm, carrying a concealed firearm, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Nguyen was booked into Orange County Jail. Incident #: 17-18552.
