PD Badge

On Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at 5:23 p.m., Fountain Valley Police Officers responded to a serious traffic collision on Edinger Avenue, west of Mount Ackerman Circle.

A white 2002 Ford Ranger was traveling east on Edinger Avenue when it struck a white 1997 Dodge Ram utility van which was parked along the south curb line of Edinger Avenue. The van was subsequently pushed into another parked vehicle, a white 1996 Ford F350, which was parked in front of the van. The driver of the Ranger, a 70-year old Hispanic male of Santa Ana, was transported to an area hospital for internal injuries and is currently in critical, but stable condition. The other two parked vehicles were unoccupied at the time of the collision. Alcohol and/or drugs does not appear to be a factor in the collision at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

Any witnesses to the collision are encouraged to contact the FVPD Traffic Bureau at 714-593-4481. Incident #20-19211
