The Community Services Department, in collaboration with Meals on Wheels OC, is providing over 1200 meals this week to support our senior community.  This is an increase of approximately 400 meals over last week’s allocation.  Seven (7) frozen meals are provided for seniors to pick up and take home weekly at the FV Senior Center at 17967 Bushard Street (corner of Bushard and Talbert).  Pick up is on Thursdays from 11 a.m. till noon. Residents can sign up onsite if they had not previously registered with Meals on Wheels OC congregate meal program. Visit for more information, They also accept donations and volunteers.

Traditionally, Home-Delivered Meals on Wheels are intended for homebound older adults age 60-plus who are not able to cook for themselves.  During the COVID-19 outbreak, Meals on Wheels is working with local cities to deliver frozen meals to the homes of older adults who do not have someone who can pick up meals for them at the Senior Center. Please call the Senior Center at 714-593-4446 with any questions or need. The staff will be available to speak by phone from Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Hop-On Senior Transportation through California Yellow Cab is still available for $3 each way. Call the Center for details.

The City of Fountain Valley Community Services Department is here for you! Please reach out if you have any needs. Stay safe, stay healthy, stay 6 feet apart.
