CA-Senate-seal.png

The PTP provides California’s senior and disabled homeowners to defer their property tax payment on their principal residence due to temporary hardship.

The PTP Program has given California homeowners much needed relief during times when they need it the most. In order to qualify, California property owners must be at least 62, blind, or have a disability, earn less than $35,500 annually, and have at least 40 percent equity in their primary residence. Funding for the program is limited, and applications will be processed on a first come first serve basis.

To check your eligibility, apply, or learn more about the program, visit www.sco.ca.gov/ardtax_prop_tax_postponement.html, or call the State Controller’s Office at (800) 952-5661.
