Holiday Trash Collection Schedule

Christmas Day: As the December 25 Christmas holiday is on a Monday, trash collection will be moved back one day, so Tuesday’s trash collection will be on Wednesday, December 27, Wednesday’s collection will be on Thursday, December 28, Thursday’s collection will be on Friday, December 29, and Friday’s collection will be on Saturday, December 30. Please remember to have your trash cans out at the curb by 6:00 a.m. the day of your collection and returned to their storage space away from public view by the next day.

New Year’s Day: As the January 1 New Year’s Day holiday is on a Monday, trash collection will be moved back one day, so Tuesday’s trash collection will be on Wednesday, January 3, Wednesday’s collection will be on Thursday, January 4, Thursday’s collection will be on Friday, January 5, and Friday’s collection will be on Saturday, January 6. Holiday Street Sweeping Schedule

Christmas Day: Street sweeping for Wednesday, December 27 will move to Thursday, December 28, and Thursday’s street sweeping will be on Friday, December 29.  Please have all vehicles and trash cans off the street to allow the street to be properly cleaned. Christmas Tree Recycling

From January 2 through January 12, Rainbow Environmental Services will recycle non-artificial Christmas trees placed at the curb for collection. Flocked trees are also accepted.  Collected trees are shredded into ground cover material and mulch to avoid disposal at the landfill. Trees should be no taller than 6 feet and have all lights and ornaments removed. Old Christmas lights can be disposed in the blue recycling cart.
