[ARCHIVED] Eagle Scout Project - Planting Parkway Trees

EagleScoutBadge.jpg

Boy Scout Hank Caprini from Troop 412 contributed 29 trees to Fountain Valley’s Landscape last Saturday, March 5th. Volunteers met at Fire Station No. 2 and planted the trees at the predetermined locations located between Heil and Warner, between Euclid and Harbor. These young men planted to grade with arbor guards installed and even provided proper planting technique’s to the property owners…definitely going above and beyond. They will also donate four (4) trees to both Ellis and Plavan Parks during two separate Arbor Day events scheduled for Thursday, March 10th with a total of 37 trees donated and planted totaling $4,000 in value. Tom Eynon showed great appreciation to Hank Caprini for his reforestation project and the positive impact his project will have for many years to come and will use Hank’s project as a “model” for other scouts looking for a project.
