On December 2, 2015, at approximately 7:44 am, Fountain Valley Police Department personnel and Orange County Probation Department Officers conducted a probation search at a residence located in the area of San Jacinto Street and Mayflower Circle. Detectives located Eric Herrera, 8/21/93, of Fountain Valley, who was the target of the probation search. As Detectives conducted the probation search, they found Herrera to be in possession of marijuana and also a large amount of US currency. Detectives determined that a wider search was necessary at the residence. After getting a search warrant, Detectives found David Herrera, 8/29/95, of Fountain Valley, to be in possession of a large amount of marijuana, a large amount of US currency, and two loaded firearms. About 12.5 pounds of marijuana packaged for distribution was seized. Eric Herrera was arrested for sales of marijuana, conspiracy to commit a crime, and probation violation. David Herrera was arrested for sales of marijuana and conspiracy to commit a crime. Both Eric Herrera and David Herrera were booked into Orange County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
