Movie in the Park on Friday, May 12

In honor of Asian American Pacific Islander Month, the Recreation and Community Services department will host a Movie in the Park on Friday, May 12 at the Fountain Valley Sports Park (16400 Brookhurst St.). The featured movie will be Abominable. We will offer FREE snowcones, popcorn, crafts, a costume contest, and many more fun activities! Activities will begin at 6 p.m. and our movie will begin at dusk so bring your chairs, blankets, and snacks to join in on the fun!movie in the park

Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 29

The City of Fountain Valley and the West Orange County Veterans of Foreign Affairs Post and Auxiliary 9557 will be hosting an in-person Memorial Day Flag Raising Ceremony from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, May 29 in Veterans Park (17635 Los Alamos St.). The event will also be live-streamed on the Fountain Valley Recreation & Community Services Department’s page (https://www.facebook.com/fvrecreation). Show your appreciation to those serving or who have served by posting and using the hashtag #FVVETS. Your post could be highlighted on the city’s social media channels.
