Recreation and Community Services Department Update

Fountain Valley Tree Lighting on Saturday, December 3 from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Tis' the Season to be jolly! Join us at the Fountain Valley Recreation Center (16400 Brookhurst Street) on Saturday, December 3 from 4:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. for a night full of games, crafts, live entertainment, storytime, and pictures with Santa! The tree will be lit between 5:30 p.m. and 5:45 p.m., with fireworks immediately following.

Dress warmly for the Hyundai Snow Zone and the fireworks show, both sponsored by Hyundai. Visit the sponsor and vendor booths for giveaways, crafts, and games opportunities. You will even have a chance to write your very own letter to Santa and military personnel. Don't forget to bring some cash to purchase food from nonprofit organizations.? We simply can't wait to celebrate the holiday season with you! Thank you to our sponsors who make this event possible.

Winter Wonderland Dance on Friday, December 2, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.

The Fountain Valley Advisory Committee for Persons with Disabilities Winter Wonderland Dance will be held at The Center at Founders Village (17967 Bushard Street) on Friday, December 2 from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Come out and dance to the music of JB-DJ, and enjoy refreshments, a raffle, and fun! Tickets are $1 cash paid at the door and no RSVP is required. The event is open to adults, ages 18+. You DO NOT have to be a Fountain Valley resident to attend.

ACPD Winter Dance 2022

The Winter Fountain Pen - Registration opens on December 7 at 1 p.m.

The Fountain Valley Recreation and Community Services department offers various classes to help you stay active and engaged through our classes and sports programs. Registration for our Winter Fountain Pen classes and programs will be available both online and in person. Registration opens on Wednesday, December 7 at 1 p.m.


Holiday Luncheon at the Center at Founders Village on Tuesday, December 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

It's the most wonderful time of the year at The Center at Founders Village. Please join us for our festive annual Holiday Luncheon. There will be good friends, food, and fun! Southern California Blood Bank Blood Drive on December 16. 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Center at Founders Village and the Fountain Valley Recreation Center will be closed from Monday, December 19 through Sunday, January 1. Both will reopen on Monday, January 2, 2023. We wish everyone a safe holiday season!


 A special THANK YOU to Hyundai Motor America

The Fountain Valley Recreation and Community Services Department would like to thank Hyundai Motor America for their $100,000 donation to support our special events, community grants through the Fountain Valley Community Foundation, and donation to the FV Chamber of Commerce. The Fountain Valley Schools Foundation, Cox Elementary School and FVHS Dance Team were also included in the check presentation at the November 1 City Council Meeting. A special thank you to FVHS Dance Team and Cox Elementary School for their participation in the Hope On Wheels 5K and Color Fun Run and for bringing in the most participants!
