Planning Commission recommends Slater Investments Mixed-Use Project to City Council for approval. The Slater Investments Mixed-Use Project will go before the City Council for consideration at the April 5, 2022 City Council Meeting.

The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing for the various entitlements for the proposed Slater Investments mixed-use project at its meeting on March 9 and recommended that the City Council approve the project, by a vote of 4-1 (5-0 regarding the Mitigated Negative Declaration environmental review). The Commission received testimony from no less than 26 speakers. The associated actions of a General Plan Amendment, Zoning Map Amendment, and Code Amendment—together with findings for the environmental review—will now move forward for City Council public hearing consideration, scheduled for the City Council meeting on April 5, 2022. The Precise Plan action and its conditions approved by the Commission do not require City Council action but are contingent upon the City Council’s final approval of the associated GPA, ZMA, and CA.
