Dec 2021 - Christmas Tree Recyling

Republic Services will be offering Christmas Tree and Cardboard Recycling to residents. From December 26, 2021 through January 9, 2022, Republic Services will recycle non-artificial Christmas trees placed at the curb on your regular collection day. Collected trees are shredded into ground cover material and mulch to avoid disposal at the landfill. Trees taller than six (6) feet should be cut in half and have all lights and ornaments removed. Please place trees and cardboard next to your containers on your trash collection day. Flocked trees cannot be recycled and need to be cut into smaller pieces and placed in the trash. For additional information regarding the Christmas tree and cardboard recycling, please call Republic Services at (714) 847-3581.
