City Council has approved a new Utility Assistance Grant for Low-Income Fountain Valley households that are past due on their electric, gas, and water/trash bills. $100,000 in assistance is available and will be dispersed on a first-come, first-serve basis. The grant covers up to six consecutive months of utility payments for a maximum of $1,500 for low-income households meeting the eligibility requirements. The grant application is available for pick-up at City Hall or may be downloaded here. Applications will be accepted beginning October 1, 2021, and must be submitted in-person or by mail to City Hall, located at 10200 Slater Avenue. Applications must be submitted with all requested documentation in order to be reviewed for eligibility. For more information, visit here.
