The City of Fountain Valley is proud to announce the rehabilitation of bus shelters and benches citywide! The objective of the revitalization project is to replace the existing transit shelters with attractive, clean, and safe bus shelters, benches, and trash cans. The goal of the City is to beautify and enhance the experience of those traveling via public transit (i.e. buses) within the City by introducing new/rehabilitated bus shelters and benches, and ultimately to replace all transit equipment.
On September 9, 2021, Mayor Vo and City Council members attended a ribbon cutting to celebrate the first rehabilitated bus shelter installed at Warner and Euclid (Bus Stop #2170).
The goal of the project is to rehabilitate up to 50 bus shelters and replace/install up to 75 bus benches. The rehabilitation project began in September 2021 and is expected to be completed in the next 12 months.
