The OC Health Care Agency (HCA) is allocating COVID-19 vaccines as they become available to ensure equitable distribution.

Vaccinations are prioritized according to age and risk. A portion of the California population can get vaccinated now, and the rest should have access by spring 2021. Orange County is currently vaccinating:

  • Phase 1A populations (all tiers)
  • Phase 1B, Tier 1 populations, which includes:
    • Education
    • Food Service, Grocery and Agriculture Workers
    • Child Care Providers
    • Emergency Services

  • Once vaccine supplies are replenished and the Disneyland Super POD reopens, the OC Health Care Agency (HCA) will prioritize second dose vaccinations for people who received their first dose through Othena, and individuals who are now eligible under Tier 1B based on California Department of Public Health new guidelines.
  • The HCA has been working with the Orange County Department of Education and school districts to plan for vaccinating educators when vaccine supply is replenished.
  • The Disneyland Super POD will close temporarily through Monday, February 22, pending receipt of additional vaccine supply, as severe weather across the country has delayed delivery of vaccines.  Everyone who has an appointment through Othena will receive a notification of their rescheduled appointment date through Othena. Additionally, the opening of the Anaheim Convention Center site, scheduled for Wednesday, February 24, is potentially delayed, also due to weather impacting deliveries.
