The City of Fountain Valley uses various social media sites to provide another avenue for residents and businesses to connect with the City in a modern and convenient way. In general, the City of Fountain Valley supports the use of social media technology to enhance communication, collaboration and information exchange.
On January 17, 2017, City Council approved the
Fountain Valley Public Use Social Media Policy to establish citywide social media use policies, protocols and procedures intended to mitigate associated risks from use of this technology where possible. Shall the City change its direction on social media use, this policy will be revised and social media activity shall be adjusted accordingly.
The purpose of the City of Fountain Valley Public Use Social Media Policy is to govern users and others who interact with the City of Fountain Valley through any and all social media sites and technology.
