The I-405 Improvement Project reopened Slater Avenue Bridge on August 29 to vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Surrounding work will be ongoing for landscaping after the bridge is open. That same night of the opening of Slater Avenue Bridge, Talbert Avenue and Bushard Street Bridges will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic in preparation for demolition and reconstruction. Utility relocation has been ongoing for these bridges for the last few weeks. Crews have also been clearing the trees and groundcover in the area in preparation for the demolition.
