The City has scheduled a Playground Equipment Improvement Project at Allen Park. The project consists of replacing the existing playground equipment with a modern playground system. This project will also replace the surrounding concrete sidewalk.
Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, May 20, 2019, and is expected to be complete by the first week of July 2019, subject to weather delays and other unforeseen conditions. Working hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays.
While the project has been planned to minimize impacts to the public, some construction inconveniences cannot be avoided. The playground at Allen Park will be closed during construction. Access to residences will be maintained to the rest of the park. Please avoid entering any fenced or coned off area at all times during the construction timeframe. The City asks for your cooperation and consideration while construction is underway. Please walk carefully through the construction zones.
