The City of Fountain Valley has saved a total of 526 million gallons of water, totaling a 21% percent reduction in water consumption compared to 2013. However, California still remains impacted by the years of drought conditions, and the state’s urban water districts have been unable to meet their conservation mandates for the past four consecutive months. The state fell below the 25 percent reduction mandated by Governor Brown, leading to an extension of the state’s drought regulations through October 2017. Water is limited to 3 days per week, between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., as scheduled below:
ALL Addresses – Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday
The City and Schools – Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
Water is limited to 15 minutes per station per day. No watering during and within 48 hours following measurable rain. No water runoff.
