The original item was published from April 19, 2018 9:18 PM to April 20, 2018 2:31 PM

Originally from Fresno, California, Chelsea obtained her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from California State University, Fresno in Political Science and International Relations. She started her career working for a combined city/county agency, the Fresno Housing Authorities. After leaving the Housing Authorities, she worked for Fresno Superior Court as their Senior Human Resources Analyst. In 2013, she left the public sector and began working with privately funded education companies, relocating to Southern California to join a group of 22 early education schools. Although she enjoyed the work she did, Chelsea missed the dedication found in civil service and is happy to be part of the City of Fountain Valley team. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her spouse and their four children, hiking, camping, and generally enjoying the Southern California weather.
