City Manager Bob Hall announced that he has accepted a new position on February 2, 2017. On February 21, 2017, City Council appointed John Sibley as Interim City Manager to begin on March 6, 2017. John Sibley is the retired City Manager of Orange and has over 20 years working with the County of Orange. John Sibley’s assignment will end once the City finds a new City Manager.

Bob has accepted a new opportunity with Rancho Santa Fe Association and his last day with the City of Fountain Valley will be March 3, 2017. Bob has been the City Manager for the City of Fountain Valley for three and a half years. Under his leadership, the City tackled its financial challenges and with the voters’ approval of Measure HH – Essential City Services in November 2016, the City’s financial outlook is stable for the next 20 years.

The City Council has executed an agreement with an executive search firm, Ralph Andersen and Associates, to fill the City Manager position.
