Council Member Mark McCurdy Resigned

Council Member Mark McCurdy has resigned from his seat on the City Council as of January 15. Council Member McCurdy wrote in an email, "At this time, I find it necessary to secure employment outside the area, and having no other option, to effective immediately, step down from my position serving on the City Council. It has been an honor to serve the citizens of Fountain Valley and, for that I will always be grateful."

Mark McCurdy was elected to the Fountain Valley City Council in November 2011 and was re-elected in November 2014. Currently, he is serving his last year term and would have been up for re-election in November 2018. We thank Council Member McCurdy for his service and commitment to this great community.

City Council will discuss the appointment for the vacant City Council seat at the February 6 City Council Meeting.
