The city’s Purchasing Division is a centralized purchasing system responsible for the procurement of materials, supplies, equipment and services for all city divisions and facilities pursuant to the requirements of the FVMC Chapter 2.36. All departments manage their own contracts with help of the Purchasing department.


The Purchasing Division oversees competitive processes such as Invitation for bids, request for quotes, request for proposals, and statement of qualifications and issues the associated purchase orders. We strive to protect the fiscal health of the city by ensuring ethical and fair practices to achieve the best value in the expenditure of tax dollars, while maintaining the continuity of services and supplies to support the various city departments and divisions.
